Being more of a stagehand than an actor (WARNING: METAPHOR ABUSE), I don't communicate very much. Putting your foot in your mouth whenever it is open does tend to be discouraging. Nonetheless, here goes:
I've been on this site for nearly two years now, though I haven't done much but poke about, exploring the countless artworks here.
While I've found many pieces I enjoy, I'm unable to put into words why. The biggest reason is I don't feel qualified to critique something I have no ability to do. I'd much rather enjoy and appreciate art quietly then try to portray myself as an expert. Trying to take something apart, dissect it, just feels wrong to me.
For me it's more emotional, kind of the same way I react to music. Some words, images, sounds, chords, keys, instruments, resonate with me in ways I can't quite describe.
Still, I feel the urge to show my appreciation. Not sure how, but that is something I'll work on.
In the meantime, I salute all of you who have the talent. The works here have been bright spots in otherwise dreary days.
